About Tellurian Behavioral Health

Tellurian came into existence in 1971 when our founder, Mike Florek hitchhiked from Oshkosh to Madison in search of a better alternative for individuals who were facing substance use disorders. Mike created an environment where everyone was welcomed, respected, valued, and had a voice. Our mission was established based on those principals; We firmly believe that every person with a behavioral health concern and/or addicition disorder has the capacity for recovery.

More than five decades later, Tellurian Behavioral Health serves over 8,000 individuals a year and continues to grow and provide a variety of services including:

  • Mental Health Support Services
  • Treatment Services
  • Clinical Assessments
  • Outpatient Therapy
  • Sober Living Homes
  • Homeless Services
  • Community Intervention Support

Tellurian Behavioral Health is a strong believer in improving and enhancing the lives of those who experience hardships throughout their life. We have a highly qualified professional staff of prescribers, counselors, dual diagnoses clinicians, nurses, and support staff who are dedicated to delivering quality care to all individuals. We cater to the specific needs of adults, understanding that each person's journey is unique. Tellurian is there every step of the way to provide support, and assistance, and to increase the overall quality of any individual’s life. See why what we do matters through a story from our CEO and President, Kevin Florek. When no one else was, Tellurian was there.
